The Ferrari 330 America is one of the rarest Ferrari’s ever produced. With just 50 examples manufactured for worldwide consumption, the 330 America is not your run of the mill Ferrari by any means. The 330 America was the earliest iteration of the 330 series of cars, but was for the most part an updated 250GTE with the new 4.0 Liter ‘Colombo’ V12 (named after it’s designer Gioacchino Colombo). This V12 pumped out 300 horsepower in the 330 America, but as much as 450 horsepower was available in race trim, like that of the 330P models.

This example, Chassis number 4995, was originally imported into the US in 1963 by Luigi Chinetti Motors of Greenwich, Connecticut. The car had 6 owners and was titled in Florida, Iowa, Colorado, and Ohio according to the limited info we’ve obtained. The last sale pricing information we’ve obtained was when the car was advertised by Lambert’s Imports for $13,500 in 1979. A similar car sold for $412,500 at a Sotheby’s auction in 2017.

We are familiar with this very car and handled it in January of this year. It was owned by the same family for many years, but had been sitting idle for most of the time they owned it. When they purchased the car, it needed a valve job which was a project that was started but never finished, as so many are! It is our hope to see this car restored to its former glory in years to come.

We are always interested in Italian sportscars, nasty or nice. Please keep us in mind if you need an opinion on price or help in selling.
