1954 Moretti Gilco 750

1954 Moretti Gilco 750

Built for Italian road racing this Moretti powered Barchetta was imported to America in 1954 and raced extensively.

Chassis by Gilco
Engine by Moretti
Fiat suspension & steering
With a body by Carrozzeria Auto Moto

It has a well balanced look typical of early 1950’s Italian race cars.

It had some very successful race seasons and some challenging ones.
Retired in 1963, the car is now in need of a restoration.

Once completed it will be ready to compete in road events, vintage races or concourse events.
The new owner will have many exciting options available.

For many 1950’s Italian styling is unrivaled by anything from the period.
As can be seen here the proportions are purposeful and well balanced.

We are happy to sell the car in its current condition or to arrange and manage the restoration.

This is the car shortly after it arrived in America. Note that it has no head faring.
