We love a barn find! And as much as we love an original car, we also find a hopped up engine swap pretty cool. This 1960 MGA is a prime example, as the original engine “was long gone” according to the seller. It has been replaced with a Mazda 1.8 liter twin cam motor, which we assume puts out a little over 105 horsepower based on the Mazda power figures and modifications. The seller states that they pulled this car out of a barn in 2015 in Bowling Green, Ohio. The car has had a thorough mechanical restoration performed, but still carries the original patina which is a nice touch. It seems much of the car has been touched, including the brakes, suspension, steering, fuel system, and some other odds and ends.
